Mobility: Powy round of investments, totaling 900,000 euros, to consolidate and expand public charging infrastructure in Milan

• There are over 100 charging stations in the Milan area, 52 of which are currently operational, and more than 60 additional charging stations are in the planning stages.  

• More than 500 metric tons of CO₂ have been avoided in Milan thanks to Powy infrastructure, with an average of over 27 metric tons per station, in addition to the avoidance of emissions of substances harmful to health  

March 23, 2026 – Powy, – a company that owns, develops, and manages Italy’s leading independent network of public charging infrastructure for electric vehicles – is expanding its presence in Milan, where it already operates 18 active locations, established in collaboration with the City of Milan and private operators, for a total of52 public charging points. This current presence serves as the foundation for a development plan that includesover 30 locations currently in the planning phase within the city limits, for more than 60 new charging points. Powy charging stations, powered 100% by renewable energy, utilize a mix of technologies designed to meet both daily charging needs and the need for faster charging: among the charging points currently in operation are 39 alternating current (AC ) stations and 13 direct current (DC ) stations.

At the same time, the growth strategy is also continuing at the national level: over the next five years, Powy to install approximately3,000 charging stations in Italy, which will be added to the more than 2,200 already in place, strengthening its presence in major cities and expanding coverage in areas that are still underserved.
