FAQ

To start a charge, log into the Powy Charge app, search for the desired station, select the charging socket and connect the vehicle to the station. Once ready, start charging using the dedicated button in the app.

To interrupt a charge, open the app, access the charge status screen and select the dedicated button. Then disconnect the cable from the car.

If you have problems with your payment, check that the payment method is correctly configured in the Account section, under Payment Methods. Make sure you have sufficient funds in your account. If the problem persists, contact us through the indicated support channels.

The charging speed depends on the maximum capacity of the vehicle. Even with a high power station, the charging speed will never exceed the limit set by the vehicle.

Charging speed may vary depending on the session. Generally, a very discharged battery will charge faster. In addition, it is useful to pre-heat the battery in very cold temperatures.

To obtain an RFID card, you can send a request topowy

To use your RFID card, add a credit card to your account and set it as the default payment method. This will enable you to make transactions with the card. Other payment methods, such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal, do not support RFID functionality.

The RFID card is only used to start and stop charging without using the app. It cannot be used as a payment method.

Please ensure that the RFID card is active under 'Account -> RFID Cards'. Authorisation of a new card can take up to 24 hours. During verification, the payment method must be configured correctly. For further information, please contact us.

Charging can be paid with most debit cards, credit cards, prepaid cards, as well as major payment circuits such as PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Check compatibility in the dedicated section of the Powy Charge app or on powy.energy.

With the Direct Payment system, you can start charging without downloading the app or registering. Just scan the QR code next to the socket, enter the required payment details, and start charging in a few simple steps. However, we recommend registering in the Powy Charge app to take advantage of all the features, such as the convenience of not having to enter payment details every time and access to exclusive offers and promotions. The Direct Payment system is mainly designed for occasional charging.

Yes, some Powy charging stations are equipped with integrated POS terminals, which allow you to make payments directly at the station using compatible credit or debit cards.

The pre-authorization is used to verify that the payment method is valid and to reserve a portion of the amount needed for the service. It does not involve an immediate charge, but only a reservation of funds, which is released or charged at the end of the transaction.

The Powy Charge app makes it possible to check the location and status of charging stations, start and stop charging the vehicle, monitor the status of the charging session in real time and consult the history of previous sessions.

If charging is interrupted, check the session status in the app and try restarting following the instructions. If the problem persists, contact technical support for assistance.

To report a non-functioning station, contact Powy support via the app or email, providing details of the location and the problem encountered.

The speed depends on the power provided by the station, the vehicle's charging system capacity, and the battery's charge level. Some cars cannot fully utilize the power offered by the station due to technical limitations.

To save time, use fast-charging stations when possible and charge the battery when it is not too full, as maximum power is better utilized at this stage.

Yes, extreme temperatures can slow down charging. Under these conditions, the vehicle's system may reduce power to protect the battery.

If the battery is fully charged, an additional cost is applied for occupying the socket, calculated for every minute after 60 minutes from the end of energy withdrawal until the cable is disconnected.

Report illegal occupation by contacting the relevant authorities, such as the municipal police, who will proceed with fines and/or vehicle removal.
