Mobility: Powy €400,000 to Install 23 Charging Stations in Rome
January 28, 2026 – Powy, – a company that owns, develops, and manages Italy’s leading independent network of public charging infrastructure for electric vehicles – will install23 new Charging Stations Rome in the coming months. The initiative is part of a broader plan to expand publicly accessible charging stations promoted by the City of Rome.
“We are investing approximately 400,000 euros in the 23 approved locations: Powy first step Powy capital, aimed at making charging even more widespread in a city where the infrastructure is rapidly evolving,”saidFederico Fea, CEO and co-founder of Powy.“In addition to expanding the service, the estimated environmental impact of the new installations corresponds to a emissions reduction of approximately 30.3 tons of CO₂ per year, with significant growth potential associated with increased use of the infrastructure over time. We thank the Rome City Administration for its work on this complex process and, in particular, Councilor Eugenio Patanè for the practical approach with which he is supporting the development of public charging in the city. There are 5,881 public charging stations in the province of Rome, with fast and ultra-fast charging options growing particularly rapidly along major traffic routes and near the Grande Raccordo Anulare. Powy to this growth by deploying new installations across various city districtsand offering amix of technologies designed to meet different needs: 15 AC charging stations, 6 DC charging stations, and 2 high-power charging stations, thereby complementing daily charging with faster options, in addition to the 8 charging stations already present throughout the city.
