FAQ

The Powy Charge app makes it possible to check the location and status of charging stations, start and stop charging the vehicle, monitor the status of the charging session in real time and consult the history of previous sessions.

To start a charge, log into the Powy Charge app, search for the desired station, select the charging socket and connect the vehicle to the station. Once ready, start charging using the dedicated button in the app.

To interrupt a charge, open the app, access the charge status screen and select the dedicated button. Then disconnect the cable from the car.

If you have problems with your payment, check that the payment method is correctly configured in the Account section, under Payment Methods. Make sure you have sufficient funds in your account. If the problem persists, contact us through the indicated support channels.

The charging speed depends on the maximum capacity of the vehicle. Even with a high power station, the charging speed will never exceed the limit set by the vehicle.

Charging speed may vary depending on the session. Generally, a very discharged battery will recharge faster. In addition, it is useful to pre-heat the battery in very cold temperatures.

The RFID card is only used to start and stop charging without using the app. It cannot be used as a payment method.

Please ensure that the RFID card is active under 'Account -> RFID Cards'. Authorisation of a new card can take up to 24 hours. During verification, the payment method must be configured correctly. For further information, please contact us.

Charging can be paid for with most debit cards, credit cards, prepaid cards, as well as major payment platforms such as PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Check compatibility within the dedicated section of the Powy Charge app or on powy.energy.

The pre-authorization is used to verify that the payment method is valid and to reserve a portion of the required amount for the service. It does not result in an immediate charge but only a hold on funds, which is either released or charged at the end of the transaction.

The pre-authorized amount is released by the bank or card issuer, retaining only the actual cost of the charging session (if completed). The refund typically occurs within 5-10 business days, but processing times depend on the bank's policies.

In the Powy Charge app, the pre-authorization is €80 for payments with Apple Pay and Google Pay, in line with circuit policies. For PayPal and Visa, Mastercard, and American Express cards, no pre-authorization is required.

Prices vary depending on the operator, charging station location, and other factors. Please check the specific costs directly in the app or on powy.energy.

The app provides real-time updates on station availability. Check the status on the information page of your desired station.

Currently, the Powy Charge app does not offer the option to reserve a charging station, but you can check real-time availability.

If your session stops unexpectedly, check the session status in the app and try restarting it following the provided instructions. If the issue persists, contact technical support for assistance.

Try restarting the app. If the issue continues, contact customer support.

To report a malfunctioning charging station, contact Powy support via the app or email, providing details about the location and the issue encountered.

Charging speed depends on the station's power output, the vehicle's charging system capacity, and the battery's charge level. Some vehicles may not utilize the full power of the station due to technical limitations.

Yes, you can manage your payment methods in the "Account" section of the app by selecting "Payment Methods" to make changes or delete information. Changes can be made as long as there are no pending charging sessions.

No, currently, the Powy Charge app is not compatible with infotainment systems such as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

If the battery is fully charged, an additional fee is applied for occupying the charging socket. This fee is calculated per minute starting from the 60th minute after the end of the energy withdrawal until the cable is disconnected. Rates vary depending on the operator and can be viewed within the app.

Report the unauthorized occupation by contacting the relevant authorities, such as local law enforcement, who can issue a fine and/or arrange for the vehicle's removal.

Powy Charge offers access to a network of interoperable operators. The complete and updated list is available on the official Powy website: powy.powy.

Use the interactive map of Powy Charge to explore alternative routes and discover other available stations.

When the battery approaches full charge, the system reduces the speed to preserve its integrity and prolong its lifespan.

To save time, use fast charging stations when possible and charge the battery when it is not too full, as the maximum power is best utilized at this stage.

Yes, extreme temperatures can slow down charging. Under these conditions, the vehicle's system may reduce power to protect the battery.

Not necessarily. The effective power depends on both the capacity of the charging station and the technical specifications of the vehicle, which may not support high values.

You can consult the history in the "Charging History" section of the app, where you will find a detailed list of previous sessions.

No, the Powy Charge app requires an active internet connection to function correctly, as it relies on real-time data.
