Powy Expands charging network with more than 100 new points and launches Powy Charge app

In Italy, the launch of the new app and the activation of more than 100 charging points in the past 3 months

Oct. 14, 2024 - Powy further expands its network in Italy with the activation of more than 100 charging points - including more than 50 fast-charging DCs - in the past three months. Since the beginning of the year, the company, which specializes in developing and managing a network of public charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, has already installed more than 280 points, for a combined total of more than 860 charging points as of 2021, while another 2,000 are already contracted.  

As part of this expansion and ongoing commitment to innovation, Powy today launches the new Powy Charge app, designed to offer partners and users an increasingly complete and personalized charging experience.  

Indeed, with Powy Charge, the user experience becomes even more intuitive and simple: the app allows users to quickly locate charging stations on an interactive map and access real-time information on availability. In addition, the route planning function, based on vehicle model and battery level, ensures that users can travel without concerns about range. For partners, it represents an additional opportunity for visibility of their stations. 

The app supports most payment methods and introduces the use of the RFID device Powy, which adds convenience by allowing users to start and stop charging with a simple tap. Powy Charge also offers the ability to create customized promotions for customers and corporate partners, who will benefit from increased visibility and co-marketing opportunities.
