The hotel has 114 modern rooms with free WiFi, ample parking, and a 24/7 restaurant and bar. Its strategic location and practical amenities make it ideal for international guests in transit, families, professionals, and travelers interested in sustainable mobility.
The need
With the increase in electric car travel in Europe and growing interest in sustainable mobility, ibis Hotel Como Grandate has recognized the need to adapt its services to the expectations of an increasingly environmentally conscious clientele.
The hotel, frequented byinternational tourists —particularly from Northern Europe—and professionals traveling between Italy and Switzerland, needed to offer a practical and accessible electric charging service. It was also essential to fully automate charging management, freeing reception staff from manual tasks and allowing them to focus on providing direct assistance to guests.
Integrating modern EV infrastructure was not only a competitive advantage in an increasingly dynamic local market, but also a distinctive feature that attracted customers who were sensitive to environmental issues and the convenience of innovative services.
The Solution
To meet these needs, ibis Hotel Como Grandate chosePowy its strategic partner for the installation and management of electric vehicle charging stations. Two AC kW AC charging points were installed, strategically located in the hotel's private parking lot at Via Tornese, 7, in Grandate (CO).
The charging stations are operational 24 hours a day and completely self-managed: guests can activate charging independently via an app or QR code, without having to go to reception or ask staff for assistance. This solution allows the hotel to offer an efficient, modern, and always available service, improving the overall experience of the stay and meeting the expectations of an international clientele increasingly oriented towards electric mobility.
