Powy and FS Park for sustainable mobility in railway stations

ELECTRIC COLUMNS POWY PORTA SUSA STATION PARKING LOT

New state-of-the-art charging stations installed at Turin's Porta Susa station

July 16, 2024 - Collaboration between Powy, a company active in the development and management of public charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, and FS Park, an Urban Pole company and sole parking manager for the FS Group, has led to the activation of new state-of-the-art electric charging stations at FS Park facilities.

The partnership reaffirms the commitment to providing new access points at railway stations, crucial multimodal hubs for thousands of citizens every day, thus fostering the shift toward even more efficient and sustainable mobility. Thanks to the contribution of both parties, new columns have been installed at the Rho and Lodi stations for electric charging of 12 cars, and in Turin Porta Susa and Rapallo for electric charging of 10 cars. These additions, together with the stations already activated in Conegliano, Domodossola, Empoli, Ferrara, Mogliano Veneto, Padua, Novara, Pisa and Treviso, further expand the network, bringing the total number of car spaces served by electric charging in strategic hubs to 134.

The signed agreement calls for the total installation of more than 50 charging stations. Currently, the first stations are already operational and are experiencing positive use by travelers.

FS Park offers state-of-the-art services directly in the hubs of these railway stations, crucial hubs of rail transportation. The charging stations at Powy are designed to meet the needs of all types of electric vehicles, with a variety of power ratings available for travelers. The partnership with Powy represents a significant step in FS Park's mission to ensure increasingly high-quality services and promote environmental sustainability. For Powy, this commitment represents a crucial contribution toward facilitating the transition to sustainable electric mobility by improving the accessibility and efficiency of its charging network.

Of particular importance is the installation of the Porta Susa station in Turin: the work has seen the activation of 1 Fast column, with DC charging and a maximum power of 50 kW, and 8 Quick columns, with AC charging and a maximum power of 11 kW. The chargers of different powers, the spaces between the stalls, the lighting, and the addition of the card payment method represent a quality expansion of the range of services offered by Powy, not only because of the improved experience for the end user , but also because of its strategic location.

"Together with FS Park, we are promoting sustainable road-rail-road intermodality nationwide, allowing travelers to recharge their electric vehicle efficiently and in total comfort. Powy wants to consolidate itself as a point of reference for thousands of citizens who travel to stations in major Italian cities every day and offer them a quality service they can relyon," comments Federico Fea, CEO of Powy.
