  • Powy Allows people to recharge their electric cars thanks to innovative charging stations that provide energy from 100 percent renewable sources located in strategic locations
  • In Veneto, the company aims to expand its network more and more widely.

March 27, 2024 - Powy, a company that offers cutting-edge electric vehicle charging solutions, has further expanded its presence in the Veneto region-where it is already present in more than 60 municipalities-thanks to recent agreements with municipal administrations in the region. In fact, the company has partnered with the municipalities of Bassano del Grappa, in the province of Vicenza, and Cavallino Treporti, in the province of Venice, where it has begun installing its own charging stations.

The columns at Powy provide energy from 100 percent renewable sources and enable citizens to recharge their electric cars efficiently and quickly, with a range from 22 to 400 kW. In Bassano del Grappa Powy has installed 5 electric columns and 2 more are awaiting activation with a maximum power of 100kW, while in Cavallino Treporti 2 columns are ready for use, with another one in activation, with a maximum power of 33kW. The stations are located in practical places within everyone's reach: in Bassano del Grappa, for example, one is located in the parking lot of the San Bassiano Hospital and another in the Le Piazze parking lot, near the train station; in Cavallino Treporti, on the other hand, they have been installed in Via Faitema and Via Concordia, in front of the Town Hall.

Across the region to date there are more than 5,000 registered electric vehicles, so the company aims to create an infrastructure of electric stations in strategic locations that are accessible to all, so as to take advantage of waits and downtime during which the vehicle sits idle and unused.

"Our goal is to expand the presence of Powy in the Veneto region, which already has several agreements with important private and public operators, in order to develop an increasingly extensive and widespread network of infrastructure. A mission that aims to make it easier and more immediate to recharge electric cars and thus encourage the transition to sustainable mobility, which reduces the emissions caused by the transport sector," says Federico Fea, CEO of Powy.

In fact, transport is the second most polluting sector in Europe: the CO₂ emissions produced account for 23% of total greenhouse gas emissions, and in the EU it remains the only sector whose emission level has not decreased since 1990. As such, Powy is committed to offering innovative facilities that can implement alternative solutions that can reduce their impact on the environment in order to cut emissions and combat climate change.

In just three years, the company has seen rapid growth in its network, which now has more than 2,000 charging points, including more than 600 installed and 1,400 under construction.
