  • Powy Allows people to recharge their electric cars thanks to innovative charging stations that provide energy from 100 percent renewable sources located in strategic locations
  • In Lombardy, the company aims to expand its network more and more widely.

May 14, 2024 - Powy, a company that offers cutting-edge electric vehicle charging solutions, has further expanded its presence in Lombardy-where it is already active with 106 columns, for a total of 186 charging points, in more than 57 municipalities, including Milan-thanks to recent agreements with municipal administrations in the region. In fact, the company has partnered with the municipality of Carbonate , where it has begun installing its charging stations.

The columns at Powy provide energy from 100 percent renewable sources and enable citizens to recharge their electric cars efficiently and quickly, with a range from 22 to 100 kW. In Carbonate, Powy has installed 6 electric charging points with a maximum power of 100 kW. The stations are located in practical and affordable places: in Piazzale Miglio near some schools and supermarkets and in the parking lot in front of the Town Hall.

Across the region to date there are more than 30,000 registered electric vehicles, so the company aims to create an infrastructure of electric stations in strategic locations accessible to all, so as to take advantage of waits and downtime during which the vehicle sits idle and unused.

"Our goal is to expanding the presence of Powy in Emilia Romagna, which already has several agreements with major private and public operators, to develop an increasingly vast and widespread network of infrastructures. A mission that aims to make the charging of electric cars easier and more immediate and thus promote the transition to sustainable mobility, which reduces emissions caused by the transport sector," he says Federico Fea, CEO of Powy.

In fact, transport is the second most polluting sector in Europe: the CO₂ emissions produced account for 23% of total greenhouse gas emissions, and in the EU it remains the only sector whose emission level has not decreased since 1990. As such, Powy is committed to offering innovative facilities that can implement alternative solutions that can reduce their impact on the environment in order to cut emissions and combat climate change.

In just three years, the company has seen rapid growth in its network, which now has more than 2,000 charging points, including more than 600 installed and 1,400 under construction.
